# GetLinkedElement.InHostViewAndCategory

## 1. Description

This node gathers elements in linked documents visible in a host view.  GetLinkedElements.ByHostViewAndCategory allows you to set the categories you’re interested in collecting.

## 2. Inputs

* **LinkDoc**

Takes the link doc (the Archilab node can be used).

* **Views**

The host view you want to get the linked elements from.

* **Categories**

This input takes the categories you want to collect.

## 3. Output

* **Elements**

The node retrieves the elements from the selected categories in the host view.
